Red flags to look for include:

• Incorrect spelling and grammar

• Hyperlink does not match the one displayed

• Requests for personal information via email or phone

• Request for immediate action

• Threatening messages

• Prompts to collect a prize from a contest you did not enter

• Requests for a donation

• Suspicious attachments and links
